Elio & Oliver Love Tour

If you’re a die-hard fan of Call Me by Your Name and want to experience the atmosphere of the film in person, the Elio & Oliver Love Tour offers a unique way to revisit its world at the original locations in Italy.

On this organised tour, visitors can explore Crema and several nearby towns that played an important role in Luca Guadagnino’s vision for the film.

Visiting the Film Locations

Local guides — themselves passionate fans of the film — lead the tour and take visitors to many of the locations seen on screen. Along the way, you can immerse yourself in the film’s atmosphere: dip your feet in spring water at one of Elio’s secret spots, play cards in a familiar bar, or simply lie in the grass and let your thoughts drift back to the story.

The guides also share behind-the-scenes stories from the shoot, including where cast and crew liked to eat or spend their free time. These details add depth to the visual experience and help bring the locations to life.

Parts of the tour can be done by motorbike or bicycle, while longer distances are covered by car. And of course, the film’s music accompanies the journey, setting the mood throughout the day.

The Pro Loco Information Point in Crema

After exploring the locations, it’s well worth stopping at the Pro Loco Information Point in Crema, a meeting place for Call Me by Your Name film and book fans alike.

Here, a dedicated “Call Me by Your Name” room has been created, where props used during filming recreate one of the iconic scenes set in Crema’s main square. Visitors can sit down for a photo at the café table where Elio and Oliver took their first break together, or take a closer look at the bicycles used by the characters as they rode through the Italian countryside.

In addition to the exhibition, the information point offers maps and printed materials to help visitors find their way around the filming locations — and, as expected, a selection of souvenirs to take home.

Visitors are also invited to leave their thoughts in the guestbook or on the fan experience boards, adding their own voice to the shared memory of the film.

Art Inspired by the Film

In 2018, the exhibition “Call Me by Your Name in Black and White” presented paintings by artist Anna Popolo, who translated several scenes from the film into acrylic works on canvas.

For those looking to take home something special, postcards featuring these images are available at the information point — a small but meaningful reminder of both the film and the journey.
