Some films stay with you long after the credits roll — sometimes strongly enough to inspire something entirely new. For Filipino pastry chef Miko Aspiras, Call Me by Your Name was one of those films.
Aspiras, who has seen the film six times, wanted to create a dessert that reflected the atmosphere he loved so much: the warmth, the sensuality, and the lingering summer mood. The result was a peach-shaped dessert he named Call Me Peachy, inspired by the now-iconic peach scene from both Call Me by Your Name by André Aciman and Luca Guadagnino’s film adaptation.
Rather than recreating a specific moment from the film, the dessert captures its feeling. Designed to look like a real peach, it combines peach and nectarine mousse with a finely chopped peach compote, lightly scented with Tonka beans. At its centre is an orange blossom crème Anglaise, adding a floral note, before everything is coated in white chocolate and placed on a crisp Feuillitine sable tart base.

“I was frustrated that Oliver did not get the chance to taste the infamous peach,” Aspiras recalls. “I decided to create a 100 percent edible peach that brings together fruity and floral flavours, very much in tune with summer — the season in which most of the film takes place.”
Call Me by Your Bellini
An Oscar-inspired cocktail
A peach inspiration didn’t stop with dessert. A Bellini-style cocktail was also created in the spirit of the film — this time by Whitney Adams, an actor and former sommelier, and a fan of Call Me by Your Name.
Using just three ingredients — white peach purée, Lillet Rosé, and chilled Prosecco — the drink leans into the same light, summery mood associated with the film. It’s simple, elegant, and very much in tune with the atmosphere that made the story so memorable.
